Carved quadripod base, fitted quartzite top
This Victorian quartzite side table brings together two histories: a carved pedestal, original to the piece and estimated at circa 1890–1910, and an Alexandrita quartzite top fitted during restoration in place of the water-damaged wood top with which it was acquired. The pedestal retains the sage green paint applied during that same restoration, pairing an antique carved base with a newly fitted Alexandrita quartzite top while staying fully transparent about what is original and what was thoughtfully changed. Its most recent documented acquisition was through a New Hampshire auction, marking the first confirmed point in its recorded modern history.

This antique extension dining table gathers a room around a single, generously scaled round top of quarter-sawn oak, its softly rounded geometry settled by a beveled edge. Its underside carries the retail label of M. Friedman & Co. of San Francisco. The retailer's Post Street address places its sale in the 1920s, while its form belongs to the early twentieth century. It opens with three separate leaves, added in turn to lengthen the top while holding its alignment and proportion. During restoration, the surface was stripped and refinished to a lighter honey tone. The documented work did not alter the structure, joinery, or proportions.

Marble Top Over a Floral Marquetry Door
This antique French marble-top side table began life as a bedside cabinet, a table de nuit, made in the transitional Louis XV and Louis XVI taste of circa 1900–1920. A single drawer sits above a cabinet door, and across that door runs the flowering spray of marquetry that names the piece. The case is veneered and inlaid, raised on cabriole legs and dressed with gilt-metal mounts, its original surface retained and revived. Acquired by Acanthus Home at a New Hampshire auction, it now begins its next documented chapter.
