Returns Policy
Every piece offered by Acanthus Home is a one-of-a-kind antique or vintage furnishing. Each is individually researched, documented, restored where appropriate, and delivered through our white-glove service. Because no two pieces are alike, all sales are final.
We encourage prospective buyers to request additional photographs, measurements, condition information, or assistance determining whether a piece is suitable for their space before purchase. Email info@acanthushome.com with the piece you are considering and the information you need, and we will be happy to assist.
Returns & Refunds
Final Sale
All sales at Acanthus Home are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for reasons including change of mind, buyer's remorse, or how a piece fits or appears within a space.
Condition and Sale Terms
Each piece is sold as-is and may exhibit age-related wear, restoration, repairs, material movement, surface variation, patina, and other characteristics consistent with its history and use.
Each piece is inspected, photographed, and described as accurately as reasonably possible. Condition reports, restoration details, and notable characteristics are disclosed when observed; however, antique and vintage furnishings may contain repairs, alterations, replacements, or age-related conditions that are not readily visible during inspection.
These characteristics are inherent to antique and vintage furnishings and, when disclosed or visible, do not constitute grounds for return or exchange.
Minor variations in color, texture, finish, and appearance may occur due to photography, lighting conditions, and individual screen settings. Dimensions are provided as accurately as reasonably possible and may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of antique furnishings.
By completing a purchase, the buyer acknowledges that they have reviewed the photographs, measurements, condition information, and description provided for the piece and accept its condition as presented.
Damage in Transit
Visible Transit Damage
All pieces are delivered through our white-glove delivery service. Please inspect your piece at the time of delivery while the delivery team is present.
If a piece arrives with visible damage resulting from transit, notify Acanthus Home immediately at info@acanthushome.com while the delivery team is still present. Claims must include photographs of the piece, all packaging and crating materials, and any visible damage. Visible transit damage should also be noted on the delivery receipt before accepting delivery whenever possible.
Concealed Transit Damage
If transit damage is discovered only after delivery has been completed and could not reasonably have been identified during the delivery inspection, notify Acanthus Home at info@acanthushome.com within twenty-four (24) hours of delivery. Claims must include photographs of the piece, all packaging and crating materials, and the damage discovered.
Do not discard any packaging or crating materials, or attempt any repairs, until Acanthus Home has reviewed the claim and provided further instructions. All original packaging and crating materials must be retained until the claim has been resolved.
Resolution of Claims
Each reported transit-damage claim is reviewed individually. Acanthus Home will determine, in its sole discretion, whether repair, replacement where available, partial refund, or full refund is the appropriate remedy.
Where collection of a damaged piece is required, Acanthus Home will arrange and pay for white-glove collection. Please do not arrange independent transportation or return shipment unless instructed to do so by Acanthus Home.
Any approved refund will be issued to the original payment method within fourteen (14) days of resolution.
