47” Round
Table only. Chairs sold separately.
Dining tables of this type emerged in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, when flexibility and proportion were central to domestic interiors. Extension tables allowed a room to remain composed in daily use while accommodating larger gatherings as needed. The Windward Dining Table reflects that lineage, designed as a stable architectural form capable of expansion without sacrificing balance or clarity.
Crafted from solid wood, the table is organized around a generously scaled top with softly rounded geometry, clarified by a gently beveled edge that tempers mass and allows grain and material continuity to remain visually dominant. Tapered legs and restrained joinery establish symmetry and composure, grounding the form with measured restraint, while three concealed leaves extend the table seamlessly, maintaining rhythm and proportion without altering its visual authority or structural integrity when opened.
Restoration was approached with restraint. The table was stripped and refinished to clarify tone and surface consistency while preserving material character. No changes were made to the original structure or proportions.
Well suited to anchoring a dining room or defining a composed open interior, the Windward Dining Table functions as a working heirloom. It is intended to support daily use and larger gatherings alike, carrying forward a tradition of continuity rather than display.
Available through private acquisition.
